Fade to Black

[ I'm not gonna list out what we did each day specifically, ]
[ just the highlights, because i've kinda forgotten, haha. ]

Kay so we get to Washington, and WE'RE OFF!
We automatically start going places.
We drive around some of the monuments, and
The thing I remember most was Fort McHenry.
It was so peaceful and serene there, the temp
was just perfect. Plus they had some pretty cool
stuff down there, like an eerie-as-hell brick
bomb shelter room that looks like someone could
have been murdered in. Awesome, right? x]

We also went to the House of Representatives.
It was so cool, being able to see where they make the laws.
Also in there was the hall of statues. Their eyes... they
followed you... xD
We went to the HARD ROCK CAFE! WOOT!
Didn't get many pics in tho... and I accidentally got the
veggie-tofu-whatever burger. fail. xDD
After dinner we went next door to Barnes and Noble, and
Tiara got Vampire Knight vol. 6 to pay me back for the wallscroll
I got her. =] Yay!
So we got to the hotel and went to sleep. But apparently I
sleepwalked. COOL! Except it creeped Tiara and Andrea [roomies] out.
Muahaha!

Okay let's see... oh! Arlington. Very Srs, srsly.
It's sad to think that THAT many people have died, and there's even
more people dying throuought the world p__p
But enough of depressing stuff [especially since I'm afraid of cemetaries].
We went to see the Einstein Memorial. That was cool.
Everyone was climbing all over giant Einstein xD
There's also the Vietnam War memorial. I found the name of my [what would
have been my] great uncle. He got married just before he came to war,
and he died. I didn't even know him, and I was really sad.
After that was the Lincoln Memorial. THAT was cool.
Never really knew how big it was until I came and saw for myself. xD

Museum of American History was pretty cool. Got to see all the First Ladies'
Dresses. And one of the first Les Pauls ever! =D Coolness. There was also
a cart from the Dumbo ride in there, and a Stradivarius Quartet! =D YAY!
and the original Kermit the Frog. Awwww yeaaaaaa.
We also went to the top of the Washington Monument. SO COOL! And tall...
I'm afraid of heights, as you may have guessed.

The dinner-dance cruise sucked. All rap, all the time...
I was hoping they'd at least put some techno on, but nothing.
Plus a girl's dirty dancing line started, and something HILARIOUS happened.
This fat guy [sorry, that's just how it was] got in the middle of it.
HILARIOUS! As soon as the girl behind him realized it [she had her eyes closed
when she was dancing] she walked away, and then the girl behind her, and her,
and the line fell apart. Ahahaha!

FDR memorial was reallly pretty. All the waterfalls and granite stones were
so cool. But of course, my CAMERA FREAKING DIED. And my Blackberry filled up
with photos after only THIRTY FREAKING PICTURES. ROARZ.
But I got batteries at the Jefferson Memorial. I would have gone nuts if I
didn't xD Anyway, the Jefferson Memorial was cool too. Honestly though, all
the memorials kinda seem the same. Marble, roman columns, statue, inscription
of a speech, yaddayaddayadda.

The Library of Congress was REALLY pretty, but about 10 minutes after we came in,
we had to go. We didn't even go in the Library part .-.
Mount Vernon was really cool. The landscape was just soo prettyful. And I got
Dove Dark Chocolate bar for only $2! Usually it's like $5. Mmm.
Dinner, back to hotel, sleepytime. We think we heard one of our chaperones fighting
with his wife. But we don't know if it was him or not.

My favorite moment of the trip:
The Iwojima Memorial. It was dark outside, drizzling, and there was lightning.
It was beautiful. The fountains, the lighting, the lightning. So cool.
The drive back to the hotel was cool too. I was listening to the WORLD by Nightmare,
and as soon as the bottle crashed in the song, the lighning flashed. Peak of
awesome of my night.

The day we left, we went to the air and space smithsonian. I got the plane pics
my dad wanted ^__^ And then we went home. Whee!

oh, and friday to sunday I went camping in the woods.
Highlight: I fell down the stairs x]
